Graduate Credit
GRADUATE CREDIT
Through a partnership with Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS), the Simeon Course on Biblical Exposition is accredited as a graduate-level course. Currently, the course is listed under the Homiletics section of Trinity’s curriculum (HM 6000), but elective credit can also be attained for many of their graduate studies programs, including the Masters of Divinity and the Masters of Biblical Studies.

Please note, in order to take the Simeon Course for credit through TEDS, a student must be participating in the Group Format of the Course (more information is available on the Tracks/Formats page). Because of the interactive elements of the weekly schedule and the critique requirements, a small group is necessary for the credit option. The Group Format can be achieved through either in-person groups or via video-conferencing. An ideal group is 4-6 people, generally interns at a church, lay leaders, a network of pastors, or other similar groups.

The first-year course, “Preaching Through Literary Genre,” receives three credit hours per semester or a total of six credit hours for the full curriculum. TEDS credit is also transferable to many other ATS-accredited seminaries and graduate schools around the country.

More information about the additional tuition for graduate credit is available on the tuition page. Through our partnership with TEDS, we are able to offer a reduced rate compared with normal seminary tuition prices.
