Workshop on Biblical Exposition

Simon Manchester is the senior pastor at St Thomas’ Anglican Church in North Sydney, where he began in December 1989. He was a teacher before studying at Moore Theological College and trained in southern Sydney then central London. In North Sydney he has worked with ministry to business people, students and families — and for seven seasons was chaplain to a local Rugby League football team. He has been privileged to speak at various conventions in Australia and overseas — including Katoomba conventions, Keswick in England, the London EMA and Men’s Conventions. The sermons he preaches at St Thomas’ are heard on Sydney radio each week.

Robert S. Kinney serves as the Director of Ministries for the Charles Simeon Trust. Robert earned a BA in Early Christian Literature at the University of Chicago, an MS in Communications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a PhD in New Testament at the University of Bristol. His dissertation was published in the WUNT II series by Mohr Siebeck as Hellenistic Dimensions of the Gospel of Matthew. He served as a pastoral intern at Holy Trinity Church in Chicago for six years and as the University Minister in the Hyde Park congregation for two years. He is ordained in the PEAR and is licensed in the Church of England, presently serving at Christ Church in Vienna, Austria.

Robert Kinney

James Seward is Senior Pastor of Maple Avenue Baptist Church. Before that, he served as Associate Pastor at the First Baptist Church of Lindale, Texas. James completed his undergraduate education at the University of Chicago, where he was also part of the founding core of Holy Trinity Church and served as a pastoral intern. He went on to complete a master's degree in the Biblical Exegesis program at Wheaton College where he also served on the pastoral staff of College Church under Kent Hughes. James has traveled to Vietnam to train pastors and has been involved with the Workshops on Biblical Exposition for more than 10 years.
